How often should you service your caravan?
To maintain your caravan performance and avoid unexpected issues on the road, we recommend a comprehensive service every 12 months or 10,000km, whichever comes first. Regular servicing not only helps maintain manufacturer warranties, but also ensures key safety components like brakes, bearings and suspension are working as they should. It’s a simple step that gives you peace of mind, saves on costly repairs and keeps your adventures stress-free.

What to expect from your caravan service?

Full Safety & Mechanical Check

  • Tyre condition inspection, including age, wear and pressure
     

  • Strip and chemically clean wheel bearings and backing plates.
     

  • Inspect brake drums and discs for wear.
     

  • Check and replace bearings if needed.
     

  • Repack with new high-temperature grease and seals.
     

  • Test electric brake magnets and adjust brake shoes.
     

  • Adjust handbrake and inspect handbrake cables.
     

  • Grease and lubricate all suspension points and grease nipples.
     

  • Inspect tow hitch, coupling heads, drop-down legs, and chains.

Additional Checks & Maintenance

  • Awnings, roof hatches and skylights.
     

  • Suspension bush replacements.
     

  • General visual inspection of van for early signs of wear and tear.

Chassis & Underbody Inspection

  • Full inspection of chassis for rust, cracks or structural issues.
     

  • Check all visible bolts, fixings, and welds.
     

  • Plumbing inspection to identify cracks, leaks or wear.
     

  • Hot water system functionality check

  • Battery condition and charger check.
